 The FOARM story began in 1985 when John Chase explored and expanded the production capabilities of traditional “cut and sew” carrying cases.

 His efforts were rewarded when he filed the original patent for molded woven fabric & foam tri-laminate (please see our technology demo).

 Together with Ted Swift’s business acumen, they partnered to found FOARM (pronounced “form”) in 1989.

 Foarm’s team of highly skilled engineers and artists combine their talents for a common purpose:

To create sophisticated casings that blend elegance and style with “bulletproof” protection from harsh environments.

 Our unique combination of experience, talent and creativity enables us to translate our clients’ concepts into innovative designs.

 All design and prototyping is performed domestically (in Santa Barbara, California)

 The immediacy of our on-site (domestic) sewing facilities handle the smaller production runs while also providing the flexibility to easily modify manufacturing specifications as the need arises.
